Dear family and friends,

Things have been going good this week. Things have been a little slower this week, but still good. Rex is going to get a "follow-up" interview for his baptism this week because he may have some serious problems that he hasn't cleared up. We just want to make sure that he's repented of everything that needs to be repented of. Other than that, he should be ready to go for his baptism this week.

We also talked to Lynn this week to see which ward she would feel more comfortable going to, and she still insisted on the Mountain View ward (our ward), so we will go ahead and teach her. We also wanted to teach Christine and Michelle (who are set for the 17th) this week, but we never got a chance to sit down with them. However, we do have an appointment with them tonight, so we'll see how that goes.

We're also teaching the other Michelle (the one that works for a member at KFC) and we finally got to sit down and teach her. We don't know too much about her doubts or concerns yet, but we were told by a member that came with us to teach her that she might have a problem with coming to church on Sunday and also the Word of Wisdom.

We also have another investigator named Cynthia that we had met before and finally got to teach her, also. She believes everything is true, already has a lot of knowledge about the Gospel and wants to be baptized, but her only concern is that she wants to married and baptized at the same time in July of next year. So we would have to wait around 7 months to be able to baptize her.

It's so hard to believe that I've already been out for 18 months now. These 6 months are going to fly by, I just know it. But when I think about the 18 months that I've already completed and everything that I've done, there's a lot of stories to remember and then I remember that I've been out for a long time.

This week, the River Gardens ward had their Christmas party and we got invited, too because we were going to do a couple musical numbers for their program. We sang "What Child is This?", "O Holy Night", and "Baby, What You Goin' to Be?" and I thought it was really good. We have our ward's Christmas party this week on Friday, and then there are other members having parties on Saturday and Sunday at their own houses, so there's a lot of parties going on, haha. Don't worry, we're not spending too much time there.

This week has also been a little rainy, cloudy, and windy. I would expect the wind for this type of climate, but usually there isn't too much cloudy or rainy weather. But it's okay because today is sunny again. Some people like the sun (like me), and others don't, but whatever.

I wanted to ask you guys what times you are available to call on Christmas Day. I want to make sure that I'm not calling during church. With me, I only have church from 9-12 (Mountain time), so whatever time works best for you is probably good for me, too.

Everything has been going pretty good in our area. We're now starting to see more of the investigators that had been taught before, but never had a chance to meet. We definitely have a lot of potential for this area and we are starting to see the fruits now of it. I know that there's always room for improvement and ways to be more obedient, so now we just have to go and do it. That's it from me this week. You guys are probably dying for some pictures, so I'll try my best to get some next week. I'll let you know if I need anything.

I love you!

Elder Meiners
