December 9, 20102

Dear family,

So we got to baptize Jose LaGuardia last week, so now he, his wife, and their 8-year old are baptized so far. He wasn't there for his interview last Thursday, but he made it on Friday so we could have the baptism on Saturday.

We have Davis Holman set for baptism in February. Other than him, we don't have any people set for baptism, but we do have quite a few people that have been taught enough and are ready to be set, I think. We just haven't got the chance to see some of them in a while.

Yeah, Elder Boschi went home already, he's probably already released by now because he flew home yesterday. He was pretty excited to get home, that's all I have to say. His last baptism was the one we had last week, so that was good for him. So I was surprised to hear that I'm still staying in the area. This is still my first area and this will be my 4th transfer here. By the end of this transfer, I will have been in this area for 5 1/2 months.

I got a new companion and his name is Elder Colon. He's from Puerto Rico and he's 24 years old. The reason is because right after high school, he joined the US Navy and served there for 4 years, and so he's also really strong and fit. He's also been out the same amount of time as me because he also went into the MTC on June 2, so we'll be leaving at the same time.

So last week, I hit my 6 month mark and so did another Elder in our apartment, Elder Saenz. We both did a joint tie-burning  so that was pretty funny. Also, this past Sunday, we had 2 confirmations for those who got baptized (Jose and another lady), and 7 children's blessings! It was a total of 9 blessings during the meeting and we didn't even get to start sacrament until 9:45. When they were done with the sacrament, we went right to the closing hymn. That took up a lot of time.

I think we'll be having our ward Christmas party next Friday on the 17th. That's cool that you got to help serve food at another Christmas party.

That's also cool that Mom and Andrea are singing "Baby What You Gonna Be?". I remember a long time ago when Kara and Erika would sing that song and Mom would play the piano. That's a really pretty song. It was definitely one of the things I remember about our family doing every Christmas. Speaking of which, what was that recipe for rice pudding you always do every year? I'm thinking I might do that tradition with our apartment this year.

This week, it should be getting pretty warm, around 65 or 70 degrees. It still gets cool at night, so I bring a sweater.

That's pretty much it from me. I'll try and send those pictures today. I didn't really have too much time last week to do it. But I'm doing good, and it should be pretty interesting to see what'll happen.

I love you!
