Dear family,
So this Tuesday, when we were at transfers, I not only got a new companion, but also a new area. I'm already out of Bullhead City and now I'm in Mesquite, Arizona (it's an out-of-valley zone).
My companion's name is Elder Alatorre and he's from Mexico City. He can speak English, but it's about as good as my Spanish, so there are some moments where I have to speak in Spanish for him to understand. We both take language study in the morning. He helps me study Spanish and I help him study English. But anyway, I'm back in a mostly Spanish area again. We technically are a bilingual area again, but this time it's mostly Spanish, so I'm glad that I have my companion to help me out.
We have one investigator named Max who has been taught all that we can teach and has been to church a lot, but he feels that he's not ready for baptism yet. So we'll give him some time to think about it.
We supposedly cover 4 wards, but I'm not quite sure how that's going to work yet.
We live in the basement of a member's home, but you can't really tell because it's still way nicer than most of the missionary apartments that I've been to. The house we live in is closer to Bunkerville, AZ (it's a tiny little village with like 5 streets) than it is to Mesquite.
Yeah, I've been out for 9 months. It doesn't really feel like it, but then again it does. If you think about everything that you've done so far, it definitely feels like 9 months. Well, I don't have too much to say since I just got here 2 days ago, but things are off to a good start and it looks like there's a lot to do.
Elder Meiners
