Dear family,
Things have been going pretty good this past week. We got to set Jose Flores and his 3 boys for baptism on the 23rd of April, so that was really good. The boys are really good and they like listening to the lessons and going to church and Mutual on Wednesdays. We just have to work a little bit with Jose to make sure that he understands everything.
We are also teaching the grandma of one of the youth in our ward and we got to set her for baptism also on the 23rd of April. She has been coming to church almost every week with Junior (her grandson) but I guess has never taken the lessons before we came over. But now she seems really strong and is doing well. We also arranged for them to get tickets to the Sunday afternoon session of General Conference this weekend, so they can drive up there this weekend and see it in person.
The CastaƱedas are doing pretty good. They're the ones that the zone leaders had taught last week when we were in Las Vegas. We haven't taught anything past the first lesson, but we're answering some questions that she has about us as missionaries and what we do, so hopefully we will be able to teach them some more.

IMPORTANT: To whom it may concern: The mission address has changed! The address I gave you at the beginning of my mission is no longer being used. Anything sent to the old address will be sent to the new address, so please use the new address for any mail or letters. So this is the new address:

Nevada Las Vegas Mission
9270 S. Maryland Parkway
Las Vegas, NV 89123

We had a Spanish Conference yesterday in Las Vegas that we went to and that was pretty good. It was basically just like a Zone Conference with lots of trainings and stuff but it was all in Spanish. I got to see some missionaries from Sunrise that I hadn't seen in a while and so that was fun. The meeting was held in a super old chapel that was one of the first to be built in Las Vegas. Pres. Christensen said that in 1932, Pres. Heber J. Grant stood in that same building and dedicated the chapel and also all of Las Vegas for missionary work. So, it's got a lot of history.

So Mom gets to be a soccer mom now, huh? Don't you need a minivan to be a soccer mom? I guess I can't really talk because I was driving a minivan for a week, but now we have the pickup truck back again, so it's okay.

I'm pretty excited for General Conference, too. It'll be interesting to hear what the prophet has to say to us. Everything's going really good. We have a few people set for baptism, and so we're trying to focus on them a little bit more. That's pretty much it from me this week.
