Happy Halloween/Harvest and Happy 18th Birthday to our House!

Dear family and friends,
Things are going pretty good this week. Not too much has happened this week in terms of lessons, but we're still trying. We didn't have that many people at church yesterday, but it was interesting that we met a kid while we were knocking on doors and it so happened that he was friends with David (Nelcy's son). And so yesterday when we confirmed Nelcy at church, she brought her son David and he brought his friend Javier. So we're definitely going to try and teach him and his family. Daniel and Yesenia came to the trunk-or-treat party that we had on Saturday, but they didn't come to church yesterday. We still haven't seen Lucio at all this week. It was interesting because his wife (a less-active) asked us on Friday night if he was still going to be baptized the next day and so we told her that he's been really busy and hasn't made time for us, so maybe she's going to talk some sense into him and tell him to ask us to come over again. We have a couple more investigators, but they're not progressing too much since we last saw them.

I have to tell you that on Friday I was feeling pretty sick and so for that night and a little bit of Saturday morning, we didn't really leave the apartment, but now I'm feeling a lot better.

Yesterday we also had our Primary Program during church and so that was really neat. It was probably better than the ones that we had as kids, haha. But most important, it brought the Spirit even if the songs weren't perfect.

We've been trying to do a little more work with less-active families in our ward, also. We're teaching a part member family in our ward and we're trying to get another family to come back to church (it's actually Cao, Kichi, and Poi from a long time ago that used to live in the same apartment complex as us).

That's so crazy that our family has lived in the same house for 18 years. It certainly hasn't seemed that long. I didn't realize that the Elder Jensen that came to reorganize the stake presidency was the same one that came to give a conference in our mission, and so that's pretty cool, too.

Yes, that was my companion in the picture of us at the baptism. He was also in the picture of us at the service (he was towards the middle in the back). That actually wasn't our whole zone, it's missing about 4 people (we have 17 people in our zone).

For Halloween, our mission is going to watch the movie 17 Miracles at night time, which is mandatory now. So right at 6, we go and watch the movie and when it's done, we'll just head back to our apartments.

Well, like I said there hasn't been too much going on this week and so I know that my letter is a little short this week. Maybe there'll be a little more happening this week. Well, I'll tell you if I need anything.

I love you!

Elder Meiners
