Week 8 July 30, 2010

Dear family,
Today is our last P-day here at the MTC, and we actually went to the temple one last time before we leave. It was nice because when we were all in it, we thought of how we cleaned the inside of the House of the Lord it and it felt more special to us.

Most of our district got haircuts yesterday or today, including me. This will be my last haircut that I get that will be free...in my life.

I'm actually excited because most of my teachers have said that when we teach lessons, our Spanish is great, but now we just have to work on the little things like involving the investigator, asking the right type of questions, and making them want to keep their commitments.

At the MTC, you can buy things at the Bookstore using a blue card they give you. And since I had $27 left on it, I thought I'd go on a shopping spree and get some office supplies and other things since I can only use the blue card at the MTC. Speaking of money, I got my Hepatitis A and Tetanus shots here at the MTC, and I just mailed you the form so you can pay for it because I don't have that kind of money on me, especially because they advise us to have some traveling money while we get through the airport. I'm sure you know as well as anybody else, I don't buy anything at the airport because everything is way too expensive.

By the way, I might be able to call on Tuesday morning when I'm at the airport before I leave for Las Vegas, so expect a phone call then. I'm not exactly sure what time.

Our teachers said it might be good if we had our "line of authority" to show to investigators how we received our priesthood, so do you think that you could send that to me? It's alright if you just send it in an envelope.

I'm excited for Erika's wedding next week! You'll have to send me pictures because the ones you sent me are good, but they're not really accurate. haha The lastest picture was from 2003 from when we went to Provo, the same vacation where Kara was having a college visit to BYU Idaho.
