April 30, 2012

Dear family and friends,

Things have been going pretty good. We haven't had too many lessons with any investigators this week; we have just been trying to find people for right now. Although we did have a lesson yesterday with a Philipino lady named Paz and we discussed about some of her beliefs in God. She's had a couple of experiences in her life where she saw the hand of God in her life, and so we'll see how that goes with her. We actually found a couple potential investigators that the Elders before hadn't been able to contact in awhile, so we hope to have a couple lessons with them this week.

So to answer some of your questions, Elder Valele is mostly Tongan, but he grew up in West Valley City, Utah for most of his life and he's really fun. I actually took E. Colon's spot because he was just in this area before he finished his mission. We both (E. Valele and I) came into Las Vegas together on the same date (on Aug. 3rd), but since I was in the MTC for 2 months and he was there for 3 weeks, I'll be going home a transfer before he does. We are covering two English wards, the Las Palmas ward and the Warm Springs ward. Right now, I probably couldn't tell you if the wards are any different than Bullhead City since I've only been here for about a week. We actually have the mission home and the mission office in our zone, so everything that we need is pretty close, which I'm not really used to. I'm not exactly sure if we are in Henderson, but we're close enough that I guess you could say we're there. We have a truck in our area (not really sure why), but I suppose that I probably won't be using my bike much more.

That's awesome to hear that Andrea did good at the Spring Trip this year. It's good to hear that Reservoir's reputation of doing amazing is still going strong, haha.

Well, sorry I don't really have to much to write this week. I barely got to this area, and we're not really teaching that many people yet. I'll probably have a better feel for the area next week and tell you how things are going then. Until then, I'll let you know if I need anything.

I love you!
