Dear family and friends,
So there weren't too many things that happened this week. We saw Nick a couple times this week and we've started reading the Book of Mormon with him also. We hope that maybe that will help him with his addictions that he has. We also didn't get a chance to see Josh again this week, but both Josh and Nick were at church this week. We did, however, see an investigator named Maria Mendez. It had been awhile since the missionaries went over, but we went by this week and we talked about the Book of Mormon and set a baptismal date for her. She's planning on getting married on June 6, so we set her date for June 30 after everything has settled down and she won't be so stressed.
We also met a less-active couple in our ward named Clifford and Jennifer . They were baptized about 6 months ago, but I think they stopped coming to church because they both have health problems: he has multiple sclerosis and she has Hepatitis C. We recently met with them this past week and they said that they want to come back to church and start having us come back over to teach them some more.
We went to the temple this week, which was a good thing for me because I haven't been to the temple in about 7 months. I was in Bullhead for about 6 months and you can't go if you're out-of-valley.
We had interviews this week with Pres. Neider and so he just recently renewed my temple recommend.
That's good to hear that everything went well with the Awards banquet. I wish I could've been there for everything going on like the Musical Madness 5K and the Main Street Festival, but it sounds like it was a lot of fun.
I think that's about it from me this week. I'll let you know how things are going and if I need anything.
I love you!
Elder Meiners
